Album Review

This 70-minute concert recording from October 1991, issued after Anthrax had switched record labels, provides a good overview of the band's first seven years, including songs from the albums Spreading the Disease, Among the Living, State of Euphoria, Persistence of Time, and Attack of the Killer B's. Public Enemy joins them for "Bring the Noise," and there are two tracks, the otherwise unavailable "Metal Thrashing Mad" and "In My World," recorded live in the studio in January 1992.

Stay Away!

I love Anthrax but this CD blows! It's not even edited correctly. It was only released to satisfy their contract with Island so they could move to Elektra. It changes tracks in the middle of a song. It's just not good. If you want a good Anthrax live album get "Music of Mass Destruction"!

A good live album!

This live CD captures great highlights from Anthrax while playing live! It is one of my favorite live cd's next to Faith No More: You Fat B**tards and Helloween: Live in San Paulo. It also includes in my opinion, the best recorded version of I Am the Law! I'm glad Bush is no longer in Anthrax! But neither is Belladonna. Hope the new guys good!

Awesome Classic Anthrax

This is an awesome live album by a band that's always been awesome live. My personal favorites are the last four tracks (especially "I Am the Law" and "Now It's Dark"), recorded in front of lucky 89.5 (NY/NJ) WSOU fans. If you're like me, not a big fan of the John Bush era Anthrax but a HUGE fan of the Joey Belladonna era Anthrax, this album is an absolute must-have! Of course, since it's a live album, there's nothing new to be found in here, but the classic Anthrax rocks, studio or live. Get it and you won't be disappointed!

Nearly as much as Metallica or Megadeth, Anthrax were responsible for the emergence of speed and thrash metal. Combining the speed and fury of hardcore punk with the prominent guitars and vocals of heavy metal, they helped create a new subgenre of heavy metal on their early albums. Original guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Spitz were a formidable pair, spitting out lightning-fast riffs and solos that never seemed masturbatory. Unlike Metallica or Megadeth, they had the good sense to temper their often...
