Different
Appetizer is not Freak Kitchen's best album. It doesn't showcase their originality as well as Move, Organic, or Spanking Hour. That being said, this is still a solid album full of great songs and impressive musicianship - Eklundh is in the same league, while being completely different, as players like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Kiko Loureiro, and Nuno Bettencourt; and the songwriting is brilliant.
Another masterpiece from Freak Kitchen
I've been waiting for this new album for a while and am very happy to say it's another brilliant piece of work from one of the best guitarists / songwriters to ever walk the earth - Mattias "IA" Eklundh.
His band, Freak Kitchen - is incredibly under-appreciated by the masses. This band should be so much bigger and well known than it is today.
I now happily have 86 songs by this awesome band on my iPod for hours of listening pleasure!
Now if these guys would only come tour the US, I'd be a very happy guy!
