LOVE this album...
The latest from country sensation Wrinkle Neck Mules is an instant classic. This great album keeps the old school steel guitar/fiddle sound of old with catchy chorus' and addictive vocals/lyrics. For the true WNM fan, it may not be the masterpiece of "The Wicks Have Met"; but "Apprentice to Ghosts" will definitely draw in new listeners without alienating their old fans. Keep 'em coming WNM, and the country scene will be forced to reconize the calibur of music you consistently put out.
Not very good
I think they really got away from what made them on this album. All of their other albums featured songs that were upbeat with a bluegrass feel to them. This album doesn't have any of that which makes it just like any other so called country band out there......drowning in a pool of booze because the wife left and your dog died. Great way to be forgotten.
Cool stuff
Didn't know much about these guys until I listened to the CDT single. When they quoted a Grateful Dead lyric in the song I became an instant fan for life. This is what country music should be...
