Absolute Beauty...
Jay Denes just knows how to do it. He has such an ear for the sound of soul that lacks in most of todays music and that clear, deep and present soul definitely emanates from this release. Back in 2000 or so, a friend of mine gave me "Beautiful Tomorrow" and said 'This is very up your alley, you'll love it.' He couldn't have been more right, after listening to that CD over and over for the past 7 years, I prayed that Jay would get back in the studio and now that wait is over and it was so worth the wait. Dare I say that "You Just Can't Stop" reminds me a bit of the deep and fierce soulful disco that never made it to the mainstream but ripped up the gay clubs in the 70's that many of today's artists have been influenced by.... Many of these tracks are just pure ethereal sexy grooves that put you in a state of peace and glamour that honestly, the world itself really NEEDS to be in right now... If only music could solve the world's problems... This is what music is all about and this guy has his finger on the pulse of a heartbeat that is purely sublime and spiritual soul music. Blue Six is the new Sade. :D VOS

It's nice to know that true artists of quality still exists these days. Thank you Jay Denes, thank you, thank you for this masterful work of art. I'm still soaking in each rich and flavorful tract, but to highlight a few, "You Just Can't Stop" is aptly named, as I just can't stop listening and moving to it; "Tropicalia" is sexy; "I've Given Enough" smooth and sultry; "Harbour" breaks my heart every time; "Fast Free Delivery" lifts my spirits right up again; and "Real as Anything" has an ethereal vibe that has me entranced. This album is an evocative, soul inspiring, reflective experience that has touched me. Ah, the transformative power of beauty...
PERFECT!!!
I've been a fan of Blue Six since 2003 when a friend gave me a copy of "Beautiful Tomorrow". It's been in heavy rotation on my Ipod since that very day, so when I heard Jay Denes and crew had something new in the works...I couldn't wait. Happy to say that "Aquarian Angel" is easily my favorite Blue Six release to date, and I highly recommend it to any fan of ambient house.
