Just as good as all the others
This new album is amazing. Seeing them play a few weeks ago made my love for this band grow even more. They played Through the Flames live that night and is by far one of my favorite songs on the album. The re-recording of The Awakening is a great addition to this album also. Songs like All Consuming Fire and Wages of Sin totally shred. Without a doubt the deception of Strongholds is a shredfest through and through. 5 stars all the way. Great job War of Ages
All I have to say is.....
AMAZING!!!!!! this is one of the best, if not the best metal cd's i have ever heard. it fills me with joy to know that these guys are a christian metal band using their talent to give a message of hope, instead of death and sadness. War of Ages, keep doin what ur doin. u guys cease to amaze me.
Secular Metalhead Gives 5 Star Review
I listen to all matter of heavy metal, be it old, new, death, thrash, core, grind, tech, speed, power, spiritual, what have you. I am not especially concerned with lyrical content, but much more so with the instrumentals (especially guitars - check out my stuff at myspace/hoodwinked) and how everything blends together as a whole. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase here. 5 stars satisfied. I always know I can count on this band for some deliciously catchy riffs and harmonies. They know how to mix heavy, dense and melodic without getting cheezy along the way. Anyways, this is all coming from a 24 year old, gainfully employed and does not live with parents, who just so happens to eat, sleep, breathe the metal, and who feels strongly enough about this album to take time from his busy schedule to give it a 5 star review.
