Customer Reviews

This is true Art.

Hip-Hop often seems like it's in a state of total decay. And there are far too many reviews on iTunes where the posters throw up standard comments of mediocrity like "It's off the hook! Just cop it!" while hardly mentioning why or what impressed them. With that in mind: Art for Sale is an outrageously good LP. It has it all: insane hooks, melody, smooth delivery of clever lyrics. It has wisdom, innovation, and originality. How much of music dropping these days can you really say that about?

Absolutely beautiful

I'm not gonna waste time. BUY THIS NOW. Dwight Farrell is an amazing person, but he's no slouch when it comes to this music business by any means. This album isn't straight up beats and hip-hop... it's soul, it's pure, it's one man's expression of earnest and passion. On top of it all, he's the closest thing I've ever found to a role model in this music business. The Count's honesty is perhaps his most endearing quality, and it's strongest here. Won't you help support an honest man with major league talent? Man's got a family to feed, straight up.

Count Bass D: Art For Sale

This album bumps with supreme bass and thick drums in the typical Count Bass D fashion. Count Bass D makes sure to give the listener what they want to hear, true talent in the art of making music. This album combines good listening grooves, as well as some great Count Bass D rhyming. I recommend this album for any Count Bass D fan. My favorite song (Soyini)

Count Bass D is a rapper, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in the country music capital of Nashville, unique in that he eschews sampling techniques in favor of recording his own keyboard/bass/drum grooves completely live in the studio. He grew up as Dwight Farrell in the Bronx, London, and Canton, OH, and learned to play drums at age four through his father, a West Indian minister who encouraged him to perform music at his church. The Count quickly learned piano and organ, and added bass...
