Art Kids, Pay Attention

How do I know that 'Art Kids' is on it's way? I have been listening to the EP for a while now, and I have progressively more and more wanted the title track to be a ringtone. Seriously, give it a listen, and tell me that the first eight bars would not be awesome to hear whenever someone blows up your cellie. But seriously, Lucas knows what he's doing. This EP is full of well crafted lyrics within even better crafted song structures, and melodies that I have found myself singing unconciouslly and phrases that I use in my everyday life ('all the great feuds and battles are merely caused by one thing: someone needs to get laid' = genius). But tandomed with being a very well written record, it also runs the gamet of emotions, from the lightheartedness of the title track to the bittersweet lullaby of 'Making Mirrors Extinct'. This EP is worth your time, in a big way. Make it happen.

Lucas Carpenter's Music is the Future of Music

Lucas Carpenter has been in the music scene for a few years now, and every time you hear him perform, you can't stop listening. When Carpenter hits that first note on the guitar, he brings you into his world, allowing you to experience his songs from a different realm. This man will make it huge one day, keep an eye on him.

Great Tunes on a Saturday Afternoon

I was walking through Boston gardens with my girlfriend on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and someone playing a guitar caught my ear while walking over the swan boats. My girlfriend and I looked to where the sound is coming from and realized a man was playing and singing on the bridge, and we both looked at each other and said, “He’s pretty good,” but we kept walking. However, we were quickly back to listen, and we sat for about 20 minutes across from the man on the bridge. The sound and the voice were incredible, and it was not long before we both decided we had to buy his CD. The track, “Ice Cream Truck,” is great on the album, but having Lucas playing it to you outside on a beautiful summer day was amazing. In the end, my girlfriend and I each bought a CD and I will certainly continue to support Lucas’s music.
