A Refreshing and Comforting Night Time Album
This album is great as a first listen with it's organic use of melody, sturdy guitar work and simple yet powerful back up instruments. Above all however, is the sound of her rich and pure, honey cream voice that is at all times beautiful, vulnerable, plaintive, and comforting. It shines even more with multiple listens as you start too unlock the vocal nuances of the performance. You'll sometimes hear the melody push you off balance the way it cuts a lyric into pieces, only to conclude on just the right note. The album itself, communicates the pleasures, pain, dreams, regrets, and everything in between that life sends our way. It's delivered to us with the utmost class and grace by a young artist who is fully formed. Definitely an artist to follow for years to come.
so peaceful
I let my girlfriend listen to fairandkind and she fell in love with Arthi's voice immediately. We were glad to see she had a solo album recorded. I'm buying this album for her, but I'll probably secretly listen to it all the time and not tell anyone. :) If you are looking for soft sounds, beautiful melodies, and intelligent lyrics, then Arthi Meera is a good choice.
