Great music, horrible lyrics

What is it with prog rock - the music and musicianship is outstanding, but the lyrics (and often the singing) is par to awful.

For this album, Unitopia does a fair job of following up their "Garden" album, which is superb - better than this one. The music on this album is very good, and alone this makes the album worth having. Where it suffers, however, is the lyric. Honestly, I've heard better poetry from an audiobook - and the lyrics on this album often sound like a simple narrative, a conversation, or just reading from the slides (Power Point users will know what I mean).

I'm still a Unitopia fan, but this (and other prog rock) just leaves me scratching my head - if they can be great musicians, why can't they be at least passable poets?

NOT POP!!

If pop was this good then I would listen too it. This is progressive rock and very good progressive rock at that. 5/5.

The best band you will never hear of!

A prog group that does what prog groups do best..take you away from every day everything and put you in a better place. This is music that you can actualy listen to and pay attention to. Vocally I can't quite place or compare Unitopia's lead singer to any other artist, and that's a good thing, his voice is strong and solid and matches the structure of the songs in a way that makes them more involved. It's like each cut is it's own novel. Prog fans should really support this band as each offering produced is better than the one it follows..and they are all really good.

I am very much looking forward to Unitopia's next release. Listen to them and you will be too.

POP? who the heck labled this POP...itunes needs to fire that guy..or at least give him a good spanking!
