Excellent Texas Singer/Songwriter
I have seen Jarrod perform several times around the Austin area and his music is very well written and easy to listen to. He writes all his own songs, though I have heard him do a cover of a blues tune or two every once in a while. This album is excellent and if his shows are any clue he seems to have quite a few songs that haven't been pressed yet. Be looking for more albums to come in the near future!
Jarrod Dickenson IS The Real Deal
Jarrod Dickenson is as legit as you can get when it comes to true talent and passion for music. He writes his own stuff, composes his own stuff and records his own stuff (pays for his records out of his own pocket). You can often feel the hurt in his voice on songs like I need you hear. After listening to Skin Deep I truly hated this girl he is singing about and for the life of me I cant tell if her name is Charlotte or Annie (or Katie). If you are looking for a good record with good songs about real life, heartbreak, love, loss and triumph then buy this entire record. Not just a song or two, the whole record. You wont be dissapointed in what you hear and feel. I cant get these songs out of my head. If Grateful Dead fans are Dead Heads, than I am a proud Dick Head!
Great great artist
I've had the pleasure of performing with Jarrod. He's a top notch artist, and a fantastic songwriter. This record is an amazing debut. Can't wait for the next one!
