Customer Reviews
This is what I call an "album"!
I bought this album back in 1995 and wore out two cassettes before entering the digital age...what an album! From start to finish, this is IMHO Rob Zombie's best, even better than 'Hellbilly Deluxe'. The darker, thrash-happy tunes will keep you rockin'. Well worth the $10, though the iTunes version of 'Blood, Milk & Sky' is shorter (5:47) than the original LP version (11:20).
Fantasic!
First off, don't be fooled by all the other monkeys who only have a passing association with White Zombie; all their cries of "Not as good as their first!" should be ingnored, because the masses in general are referring to "La Sexorcisto, Devil Music Vol. 1", which is actually their third album; and while I do agree it's more solidly in the groove metal genre, the groove-infused tracks on this album are indeed their superior works. I'd also like to take this time to address a fallacy of sorts I read in an earlier review.
User "Sleestaks" said that this version of "Blood Milk and Sky" is shorter; this is not actually the case, as on the original album "The Sidewalk Ends Where the Bug Parade Begins" is a hidden track after roughly three and a half mintues of silece, so all the music is there, iTunes just cut out the dead space and made Bug Parade it's own track (I did something similiar with my audio editing software, cutting the dead space from almost four mintues down to about thirty seconds, but kept it on the same track) in an effort to streamline the album, making the moniker of "Bonus Track" a misnomer that should actually read "Hidden Track".
Now, if they could just get copies of Soul Crusher and Make Them Die Slowly up here, that would be excellent.
GREAT ALBUM!!!
Personally i like Le Sexcoristo a little better but this is one still good. Its so heavy sounding too. BUY IT!!!!! YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON A GREAT BAND IF YOU DONT!!!!
