One of the most talented musicians of our time!
I can't decide which song I like most. "I Promise", "Eleven", and "Lucky Girl" are definitely among my favorites. Kara Suzanne has a depth and genuine soul that is lost among so many musicians. I hope to hear much more from this talented woman soon!
Well worth your listening time.
I wouldn't put this in the "Rock" genre, nor would I want it to wallow in the overused "alt.country" bin either. What you have here is a really well crafted release that drifts in any number of directions (folk, country, rock, sensitive reflecto) without feeling disjointed. Quite to the contrary, this album carries a true continuity in feel and tone. This does not feel like an independent release. A well-utilised and strong voice complimented by outstanding musicianship make this a very rewarding listen. I guarantee many of these songs will be stuck in your head for days.
