Music that makes you feel

Love everything about it. The song 'Your Call' is probably the best of the whole album. That's not to say that the others fall short. Not at all. Each track is as pleasing as the last. What I like about this group is that they don't sound over-the-top. A lot of music today is over-edited and too elaborate in terms of arrangement and filler. This group doesn't fall into that trap. They let the music speak for itself and they let their voices--at times raw, at times maybe not right on key--stand out. This is more than just good music, it's the kind of music you put on at the end of a really, really bad day. The kind that just speaks to the ache you feel and draws it out of you. It's music that makes you feel.

Stay Close, Don't Go + Vulnerable (music video)

So first things first, -Secondhand Serenade has ONE member, his name is John Vesely and its just him and his guitar, which makes the music that much more personal. (And also why this guy is NOT the guy from Dashboard Confessional.) -I didn't realize this was being releasled, but the differences are the addition of "Stay Close, Don't Go" (a very good song, a little more upbeat than most of the songs on the album) and the addition of the "Vulnerable" music video (also very good). -There really isn't one track that is better than another, they are all AMAZING. -Overall, this a buy that you won't regret, I guarentee it!

Oh my gosh

Wow. This is the most personal, deep stuff i've heard in a while. I love how low-key this is....you know, without synthesizers and overly loud drums or anything. Just this dude and his guitar. I love that.

Much like Five for Fighting or Dashboard Confessional, Secondhand Serenade is the project name for a solo artist, singer/songwriter John Vesely. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in a musical family that included his professional jazz musician father, Vesely spent a number of years playing bass in local bands before picking up the acoustic guitar and refocusing his attention on composing original material. Rather than releasing the new material under his name, Vesely chose to group them under...
