Baba - Ep

An awesome first effort by a hot up and coming band

     

Pangea Collective is new on the music scene, but you wouldn't know it by listening to their debut mini-album; they sound like they've been doing this for years. The opening track Nadia is a fun and playful one with a decidedly island beat. Baba kicks things up a notch and features some fantastic trumpet and tempo work and can be danced to or listened to as the background for a happening event. Right Brain has a more somber tone, but again excellent from a technical perspective. The final track Memories is probably the weakest of the four, but it still was an enjoyable listen. I look forward to future work by this amazing new group. Give us a full album already!
