Customer Reviews
Nack To The 50's
RE-RECORDS, Need I say more. Come on iTunes get the ORIGINALS. DON'T SELL US JUNK.
Back to the fifties
The album contains some truly phenomenal songs. Why the 2-star rating? Simply because none of the versions are the original ones--no wonder iTunes can sell them so cheaply, particularly when you can buy the original music for about the same price. Try listening to Bonnie Guitar's original "Dark Moon", or the Platters' "My Prayer" and compare them to the versions contained in this meager attermpt of recreating some true American Classics, and see if you are as disappointed as I was. I did however buy Gogi Grant's "Wayward Wind". I thought it was close enough.
Disappointing
Wish I would have seen the reviews first. These are not the original recordings, or at least not what I remember. If you're looking to replace your 45s like I was, don't use this album/these tracks to do it.
