Customer Reviews

Overlooked?

Surprised there aren't any reviews for this hidden gem, especially given how rabid most fans of The Church are (myself included!). I have to say this is easily among the best of the Tim Powels-era releases. I wasn't too impressed with Untitled #23 and turn to BwtB more and more. Recommended!

What Are You Waiting For.....!?!

THE CHURCH!!! If you have liked or loved the previous work of this group...the vibe, the sound, the words, the mystery, the all over feeling of being in a day(night)dream yet asleep, the passion and genius of this band and the love for the fans, then do yourself a favor and get this already!! Test yourself! Play the samples iTunes provides and go through each song. This will be a favourite for music lovers everywhere..at anytime..anyplace...any......

Outstanding outtakes

Any Church fan will want this album, until recently only available as an Australian import. The songs are excellent throughout, and a few – namely, "Pearls" and "Ionian Blues" - are as transcendent as any in the band's long and storied career. It's hard to believe these songs didn't make the cut for the actual album that came out of the "Uninvited Like the Clouds" sessions, there is some GREAT material on here. Where they find this much inspiration, I can't begin to imagine.

Formed in Sydney in 1980 by vocalist/bassist Kilbey with guitarist Peter Koppes and drummer Nick Ward, the Church recruited second guitarist Marty Willson-Piper before...
