Under The Radar..
I accidently got of hold of Ms. Ashanti Munir while adding some "new blood" to my library.
How did she ever slip under the radar? I can't believe I've never heard of her, unless I have via another
artist! This is a more than worthwhile effort for all of those who like "straight up/no chaser" "smooth r&b" This is a c.d. you can play right through-- a rarity these days! Her lush voice ranks right on up there with Oleata Adams, Randy Crawford and a few other "great "soulstresses" who receive far too little recognition. All the best to you Ms. Munir! This is one "worthwhile" project I'll be downloading tonight!
Very, very, Nice!!
Like angelblue, I was just messing around on itunes and i hit on "this". Wow!, I said. Take a listen to "Brush and Comb". Now, she may not have the "looks" of some singers, but she got A WHOLE LOTTA SOUL!!!! Frankly, I think she looks very nice. Try this album-you won't be disappointed.
