can there only be two reviews of this album???? beach house are the most underrated band out right now.....there aren't many artists out there making music of this calibre...thank you beach house.
my favorite
Beautifully crafted, mystically ambient pop songs aided by wonderful musicianship. Victoria's voice is truly amazing, and this record's eerie warmth is something entirely new and fresh for the indie music scene. I would recommend this album over their other, though both are gems.

Ambient folksy music that oozes originality! I love this band and listen to this album and Devotion daily. I can't say that about any other band I've ever listened to.

Despite its summery name, Beach House creates music that is dark, dreamy, and alluringly hypnotic. Baltimore residents Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand (the niece of French composer Michel Legrand) formed the duo in 2005, with Legrand's hushed, Nico-like vocals and Scally's delicate instrumentation paving the way for their first batch of songs. Within a year, Beach House had charmed indie music enthusiasts across the blogosphere with its languid songcraft, and the eerie warmth of "Apple Orchard"...
