Beautiful, romantic & awesome

I'm a Muzzey fan so this popped up in my recommendations. Not sure what the movie is about (haven't heard of this one) but MAN is this a beautiful collection. The CD cover doesn't really give an indication of what the music is like, or what it's about, but it's every bit as poignant and beautiful and sweet as you'd expect if you're familiar with this composer's other CDs. The one song that's different from the norm is "Bear Drag" which is like a really loud club track, but I'm guessing it was something written for the movie itself. Best tracks: 1, 7, 13, 14, 16 and 17 - BIG TIME on 17. It's really upbeat and happy, and a perfect finish for this album. Another winner!

Great movie, perfect score for it.

I was at this movie's premiere in NYC and it was one of those movies where the movie itself is really good, but the score took it up even 10 notches more, if that makes sense. Downloaded this soundtrack the next day & have had it on repeat for the last couple days. It sticks with you.... it's a lot more intimate and sweet than I would've guessed it would be, but once you see the movie you can understand why. 5 stars on this one, easy.

Another winner.

There's something in particular that I love about this music, which is another great CD from one of my favorite composers: I love the simplicity. It doesn't try too hard to be complex or heady, it's just plain beautiful all by itself (Track 11, "Bear Drag" excluded! This must've been a track written for a dance or club scene - verrry high energy and loud/thumping). There are moments in some of these cues that are absolutely sublime, and in some cases (track 14 & 16) they suddenly rise up out of nowhere and feel like an intense wave of emotion. There's also a very serene beauty about the very first track. I don't know who Tyler is, but he sure got a nice theme. All in all, another 5-star rating for Muzzey's latest work.
