As a fellow Derby City musician, my hat's off to Mr. LaFarge and his rhapsodic ragtime revelling acoustic game. The man's honest and plays his music seriously. An incredible, loose picker that evokes images of hobos sitting in boxcars, prostitutes wandering dingy streetcorners waiting on riverboatmen, gramaphones hissing and popping... and sweet love. Go Pokey Go! A good friend of mine recommended him to me quite a long time ago in Grateful Threads and I have nothing but admiration. Arkansas is a fine tune.
Listen, this man is a force.
Played at Pickathon with him. We were all blown away. His recordings are top notch. Both records are required listening. This man WILL be a star soon. Pokey! Congratulations and cheers! Great record.
