GO ... NOW ... DOWNLOAD !!!
OK ... maybe I am biased becuase I adore Jeff and have ALL of his music, but I can be honest about it as well. This able will do EXACTALLY, what JSS has set out to do. Reintroduce himself to the masses, grab them, pull them in and prove that he is an amazing writer, vocalist and performer. When I first heard the raw version of "HEY" I was sold. Great summertime sound, top down cruisin' the coast highway. Then came the sneak peek at "21st Century" and this just has a hook that keeps you wanting more. JSS decides to let loose with "Testify" and that was it ... I couldn't wait for this release. Thanks for doin' it a little early ... some of us were going crazy. Not a bad song on the album. Not the heavy rock sound that some have come to know JSS for but ... man ... this just does it for me. Really getting lost in "Gin & Tonic Sky" right now and "Mountain". There is such story and depth in these songs. OK ... I've rambled long enough ... don't trust me ... trust me ... whatever ... listen to the clips and see for yourself. GO ... NOW ... DOWNLOAD !! You won't be sorry. ps ... JSS is fronting Trans-Siberian Orchestra on their West Coast US Tour ... GO SEE HIM !!!
overrated
1st of I am a Jeff fan, I listened to all tracks and they are very good. These songs are not the 2nd coming. Seems like the few fans Jeff has have determined this is the best release to come out. I was more impressed by his last release Lost In Translation. F.Y.I. Jeff is not fronting TSO on the west coast he is a guest singing a couple songs and singing backup.
Good, though we are used to much better!
I have loved Jeff since his Yngwie days and support him through all of his various projects and will continue to do so. That being said, this release pales in comparison to Prism and Lost In the Translation. The material is not strong and it seems like a post Journey, fill-in effort. I feel the the next release will show Jeff back to form with higher quality material as this collection of songs does nothing to enhance his considerable legacy. Thank you.
