Album Review

In 2009, celebrity makeup artist, model, DJ, fashion designer, and all-around Internet phenomenon Jeffree Star took the next logical step in the career trajectory of a burgeoning multimedia icon and released a full-length CD. The flamboyant, outlandishly attired transvestite attention-seeker got his start as a club kid, so it makes sense that his music should reflect his roots; Beauty Killer is a fun, no-frills dance-pop record filled with throbbing house beats, Auto-Tuned vocals, and super-catchy, sexually charged novelty lyrics. As a vocalist, Star has an appealing, unadorned David Gahan-esque (Depeche Mode) style that was a welcome respite from the vocal gymnastics of popular "real" pop singers upon the album's release. At his core, Star is a classic professional provocateur, as titles such as "Fame & Riches, Rehab Bitches" and "Love Rhymes with F**k You" make clear. Throughout, his lyrics employ all manner of slang of the day to both celebrate and lampoon the basest sectors of pop culture. In the end, though, Star is clearly all-inclusive, making Beauty Killer a harmlessly naughty guilty pleasure.

BEAUTY KILLED THE BEAST

This is the best mixture of work I have heard in a LONG time.
Jeffree Star has completely outdone EVERY artist on the radio and this is the title of his rise to TOTAL and complete fame.
God Hates Your Outfit is now the running song in my home and my mother is in love with a queen that she threw up to his name

He's amazing , I've been waiting months for this album.
I first saw him on Myspace. I thought he was a little strange but it was a breath of fresh air.
He's different , eccentric , & most of all he can actually sing.
Mark my word. . Jeffree Star WILL become famous.

4) Beauty Killer - 11/10 (My second favorite)
5) Electric Sugar Pop - 9/10
6) Love Rhymes With F**k You - 7/10
7) B*tch, Please! - 10/10 (Very clever lyrics)
8) Lollipop Luxury - 9/10
9) Get Physical - 9/10
10) Fame & Riches, Rehab B*****s - 10/10
11) Fresh Meat - 9.5/10
12) Queen of the Club Scene - 12/10 (My favorite :D)
13) Gorgeous - 11/10 - (Third favorite)
14) Party Crasher - 9/10
15) God Hates Your Outfit - 9/10

Overall grade : 89% or a B+
But I give him an A. It's his debue album & it's now one of my all time favorites.
Don't judge him on apperence. But on his musical talet.
I love everything about Jeffree Star. I'm happy to have found him (:
