Yoko Kanno of Cowboy Bebop fame
I am not sure why the american itunes store has so little information about this very nice single. The composition is by Yoko Kanno, the japanese equivalent of John Williams (soundtrack gold). I believe this song is for the movie "Surely Someday". The singer is the very young Aoi Teshima, who has a pleasant throaty sound on this song. Kanno also is also a remarkable pianist, but I am not sure if she is performing the piano part on this song or not.
