One killer album
This is some of the best music you'll ever hear. Seriously. You can jog to it, chill to it, drink to it, drive to it (not the last two together, please), and just have a damn fine time. Almost all of the album is perfect- I think the weakest song is probably Impatience (track 7) and by far the strongest is Latte Days and Porter Nights (track 10). Podcast listeners will no doubt recognize Drive Away (track 2) as the signature song of Matthew Ebel.
Smooth and Groove
Why haven't you heard of this guy! Tight, catchy songs packed with his warm voice and wrapped with smooth production values. If 'I Know You're There' (track 4) doesn't give you chills you've never been alone and in love. More albums like this and record sales wouldn't be slumping industry wide. Buy the album and you will understand.
This album wears a groove in my iPod's hard drive
Far and away, Beer and Coffee is THE treasure in my music collection. Full of groove, heart, and top-down fun. Combine Billy Joel, Elton John, and Ben Folds and you get a sense of what Matthew's music is like. Hard to pick out a bad track in this album. To get a feel for his music, listen to "Drive Away", "I Know You're There" and "Latte Days and Porter Nights"
