This piece of work defines Christmas for me
This is a wonderous gift. Anyone who seeks to truly understand what the season of Christmas is about needs to purchase this stunning piece of art. For me, it's really hard to listen to anything else right now. "Labor of Love" might be one of the best songs ever written. Andrew Peterson is a true artist and he has a lot of talent friends who share their gifts on this record . You will not be disappointed!!
exquisite advent/Christmas album
i'm so glad that itunes is carrying this album now! i bought it a few years ago for myself and i've continued to buy it as a gift for friends and family every year since. andrew peterson has an amazing ability to capture scripture in song like no one i've ever heard. he's a wonderful storyteller and talented musician that makes both old testament and new testament characters and thier journeys come alive. this is hands down my favorite advent/Christmas album and i'm sure you'll enjoy it if you appreciate solid songwriting, acoustic guitar, and sweet vocal harmonies.
Beautiful
I saw the concert last night at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, and bought the album this morning. This is truly a beautiful telling of the story of when "the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
