Amazing.

Once again, Brian Fallon proves why he is at the front of the pack when it comes to contemporary musicians. The lyrics, song structure, and overall sound of this new project is just remarkable. It's not the Gaslight Anthem, but those who love that band will undoubtedly appreciate this. I've been looking forward to the new album so much, and September can't get here soon enough.

This song in particular definitely has a more retro sound feel to it. It sounds like early U2, the Killers, and dare I say The Police. It's basically taking the best parts of the best rock and pop sounds of the past 30 years and then mashing them into something awesome. Fallon's voice, in particular, stands out. It's got that soulful, lovelorn, and wishful sounds to it, and it's very soothing and identifiable. He signs with great passion, and you can actually hear what he's singing, which is good for music fans. A lot of times, bands will be kind of mush mouthed and you can't understand the lyrics, but Fallon doesn't do that.

Overall, get this song and the full-length album when it comes out. You won't be disappointed.

Album of the year?

I've only heard two (and a half) songs from this intruiging side-project, and I'm hooked. "Behold" is amazing. Definitely sounds like early U2 and The Killers, but in a way that only Brian Fallon could pull off. Let's hear the rest!

Absolutly amazing

Brian can do no wrong! he described this album as "night-time music" and that is exactly what this sounds like

Taking a short break from the Gaslight Anthem in early 2011, frontman Brian Fallon teamed up with guitar tech Ian Perkins to form the Horrible Crowes, an Americana side project named after the “Twa Corbies” folk ballad. Inspired by Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and Mark Lanegan, the Horrible Crowes wrote slow-burning songs that were smokier and more stripped-down than the Gaslight Anthem’s punked-up...
