I

I have been awaiting this remix EP for weeks, and here it is! The remixes are very good, I would not expect anything less from the dj's remixing this awesome tune from the Head First album. Believer is my fave track on the album, and the remix EP surely delivers! My fave remix track is the Subway Remix. I'm sure all Goldfrapp lovers will believe in this EP!

Excellent!

I love the Vince Clarke remix (being a huge Erasure fan). It is very reminiscent of New Order's Blue Monday with a nice bouncy beat. The Subway mix is great as well. A very nice set of remixes from Goldfrapp!

Ah well, thanks anyway.

The LP version of "Believer" is, of course, sublime. It's my favorite track on the album by a mile, and I'm thrilled it was released as a single.

That said, the remixes disappoint. The Davide Rossi take is a novel orchestral re-imagining, and as such is very successful; however, I don't want to shake my butt to it, so… there's not much I can do with it.

The Joris Voorn Remix teases us with a promise of satisfaction that's never fulfilled. Too, too bad. It gives one the feeling that it has ended before it's reached the "good part."

The other two remixes are competent, however naïve, reworkings that do not even begin to build upon the original track's greatness. So disappointing. The've replaced the original's musical distinction with some generic nonsense that could have easily been culled from ten thousand other dance tracks. Yawwwwwwwwn.

Oh well, at least the cover art is a win.
