Beautiful and Edgy Sophomore Release from Five Smooth Stones
Five Smooth Stones second album Beneath The Finite Sky shows a great deal of growth both lyrically and musically. The band tackles themes of loss and love, struggle and hope, death and life; all based on their own experiences beneath this finite sky. Musically the band draws influences from everything, from blues to rock, to dance, to folk. They shape melodies and guitar lines that draw the listener in, where they are kept encapsulated by the complex textures of each song. This album is sure to take you on a journey from beginning to end. It will leave you deep in thought about the struggles of this life and the that love conquers them. Oh, and you just might find yourself singing along too.
A Real Solid Rock Album
I heard Five Smooth Stones at Six Flags last year and they sounded great. This album shows that they rock and write really good songs. I like Rockets and This Road and See You Again best, but all the songs are real good.
