Customer Reviews
Forget Cadillac Records- this is the real deal!
Although the Cadillac records soundtrack tries really hard to evoke the feel of these classics, nothing comes close to the real thing, especially when you're talking about Etta James. Beyonce might hit the notes but she instills none of the feeling on such classics as "At Last" and "I'd Rather Go Blind". All of these artists are legendary, including Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and living legend Chuck Berry. Bless them all!
Family Tree
Fantastic music. I haven't seen the film but love the tunes. It's great that these songs and artists are once again being lifted into the light. Do a genealogy search of your favorite modern tunes and the family tree will lead back to these musicians and their contemporaries.
great blues overview
I own most of these from other collections, but this is really a great intro to the world of blues. Hear the influence in young acts like JJ Grey, Eddie Skuller, G. Love, etc.
