Delicious imagery

For folks who don't understand or appreciate electronic music, Chicane is very palatable starting point because the music easily evokes rich imagery, time, temperature and place.

To get a sense of Chicane's vibe, imagine sitting atop the headlands above San Francisco bay at 6:30 am. on a balmy Sunday morning as the glowing sunrise to the east begins to splash your face with warmth. The receding fog exposes the bay as the city comes to life.

There's a cool energy with splashes of warmth and optimism infused into every tune.

Chicane come to the USA!!!

Too bad chicane is afraid to fly! This album is a great demonstration of his talent through the years. A must have if you love the baleric sounds that take you on a journy to Ibiza. Especially the beautiful tracks like saltwater and poppiholla.

Great trance

I love trance in all its forms. This album is a great summary of the oeuvre of a great practitioner.

Chicane is the group name for British trance musician and remixer Nick Bracegirdle, who first attracted attention under the name Disco Citizens with the Top 40 U.K. hit "Right Here Right Now" in 1995. Changing to Chicane, he reached the British Top 20 in late 1996 with "Offshore." He then enlisted Clannad's Maire Brennan for a remake of the Clannad hit "The Theme From Harry's Game" under the title "Saltwater," which reached the U.K. Top Ten and became an international hit.
