ECLECTIC and UNPREDICTABLE -- a must for house peoples
This crazy album takes you anywhere from Kenny Dixon, Jr-sounding moody house music ("Caught on you" by Stan Proper) to quick-stepping classic 120bpm house--with heart and soul--to Azari and III, Scissor Sisters and Miss Kittin-inspired tracks. Cosmin TRG sounds like he could've been college roommates with Carl Craig. In all, one, big, happy leftfield family.
Some tracks, like Electric Sunshine by Recloose and FingerF**k by Mr. Fingers, don't belong, as they break the tempo of the album.
Where is the DJ-mixed pack? That's missing.
And yet, this is not the house album that grows on you. An instant must-purchase album, as good for putting through the steps on Virtual DJ as it is for just listening to at the gymn.
