A Must Have!

What a great EP! Seek just explodes out of the gate and is so catchy. You will be singing along right away. 21st Century has an awesome rock edge. It will get imprinted on your brain. So good! Irish Hymn has a very cool pop rock/almost Beatles feel. I could keep going but I think you get the point. The EP is awesome. Each song gets better. Great way to spend $7 bucks for 25 minutes of music you won't be able to get out of your head.
Its also the first time I felt that Kevin was finding out who he was as an artist. Of course he is so eclectic that I can't tell you who he is an artist but I think that is what makes him so awesome. You never know what you are going to get but you know that is will be great. And this EP is a great jumping on point. Its only $7 bucks! Come on!

Great Stuff!

This is an amazing EP put out by Kevin. If you can afford the $7, go for it! I've been listeing to this album since it was released, what, 5, 6 years ago and I still love it! Seek is good, 9/10, 21st Century Darlings is something different for Max, but he totally makes it work, 10/10. Irish Hymn sounds like it could have been put on Stereotype Be, but is good none the less, very uplifiting, 10/10. Stranded 72.5 is one of my all time favorite Kmax songs, its different but thats what he does, 10/10, Golden is a love song, a good one (8/10), but unfortunately is blown out of the water by Kevin's cover of Hallelujah, 10/10. The last song is To the Dearly Departed, also "deep," but very touching and worth listening to again and again, 10/10.

Basically, if you've ever liked anything by Kmax, check out this album. You won't regret it.

Often perceived as the eccentric, attention-seeking member of the CCM trio DC Talk, Kevin Max grew up outside of Grand Rapids, MI. Formerly known as Kevin Smith, music played a vital part in his formative years. Max started singing at the age of four and remembers "being carted around to schools, churches, and radio programs." He attended college at Virginia's Liberty University, where he met fellow DC Talk members Toby McKeehan and Michael Tait. The three formed the band in 1987, merging the styles...
