"Preston isn't exactly the most energetic or charismatic singer, but the guy can sure write an emotional and thought-provoking song or two. Josh harkens back to the singer-songwriter days of Simon & Garfunkel and John Lennon. He's far from a political folk protester though. Singer/songwriter Josh Preston began as a sideman playing electric guitar for various performers on the East Coast. While supporting Aaron Brotherton, he began his debut solo album, Between Memory and Mortality, in New York, finishing it after he had moved to Nashville; it was released October 19, 2006.
