different, but enjoyed
It is alot different from the first album, which threw me off at first, but it will grow on you fast. It's not the "island" feel of the first album, but it still has the Phontaine touch to it. I bought this album a few days ago, and I've already listened to the whole album about 7 times, and I've listened to the song Mississippi Two Tone about 50 times. If you enjoyed the first album, you'll enjoy this one too.
SENSUAL SOOTHING
This song is one of the most refreshing sounds I've heard in awhile. I listen to everything: country, rap, pop, blues, techno, etc. I first heard it on an episode of Damages from the FX channel. Ever since I haven't gottten it out of my head. It's soothing, and it makes for the perfect nighttime bedroom playlist.
Very Unexpected!!
I purchased the first CD because it sounded pretty good but when I listened to it I couldn't stop. So I purchased this one because I liked the other one so much. Now, this CD is amazing. It is so different then anything I have ever heard before. A wonderfully unique sound. You just can't tell with the 30 seconds you get as a way to preview a song. I would not be so brazen as to tell anyone to purchase this CD because I like it. One thing, I don't know how the genre is electronic. I really don't know how to define this CD other then to say it seems "alternative". It seems to have so many types of music going on at the same time in a uniquely orginized, pleasent sounding creative musical delight.
