This is some Big Music!!
One thing that Big Light music is NOT, is one dimensional.It seems they really understand some key elements in writing music. When its time to be "heavy" , they bring you there... and just as important, thay know how to mellow it down to a gentle touch, and have brilliant simplicity. I enjoy putting my headphones on, turning the volume up high and engulfing myself in the world of Big Light for a while!!! You should too!!
You will listen to this EP over and over!!!
This is easily the best $5.99 you will have spent in a long while. The way I look at it, you have spent $5.99 on dumber stuff than this EP. And you will listen to it over and over and over, and when it comes on your shuffle, you will wonder, "Who IS this?" And it'll be Big Light. Cheers!
Such a great debut!
I love discovering good, local music (here in the SF Bay Area) and Big Light is my latest discovery. This debut EP is a chill, indie rock effort with a hint of psychedelic influences on some of the tracks. I especially like "Hard Knocks," "Heavy," "Safe & Sorry" and "Bonebreaker."
