Decent, but Superb
First, I love colinde (Romanian Christmas Carols) and was hoping for a great version of a few here and that's what I got. I really like O Ce Veste Minunata (Have You Heard the Tidings Wonderous) and Trei Pastori (Three Shepherds) is interesting with 3 women singing the song. (I guess the phrase Haideti Fratilor sa Mergem works for women). I was a bit disappointed in the recording quality. I know the choral recordings aren't like studio solo/group recordings, but it could be crisper and clearer. My biggest complaint, and probably just a personal preference, is that I would like to have had more colinde on the album rather than the mixed in songs of Easter (Paste). Overall, a good album, but I'm still waiting on the great album that will expose the wonderful Romanian colinde to the rest of the world. Cracium Fericit si La Multi Ani! I came upon this album by accident, but it is beautiful. I would recommend it to others.
