back to the future
The album's ok, all around pretty consistent due to its formula character. Today's funk music take on the original sound of the 70s. The original was a formula, but a rich one, while these tunes, even though quite tight and played well, are just a tad too predictable. For a younger set it might sound more exciting as they haven't heard the real deal. For the old folks it's the same old, same old minus the original charm. I wish iTunes would have Bill Doggett's Honky Tonk Popcorn, instead of this newer and too long version.

Very rarely you come across a compilation of such quality. Not a slow second. Very useful on any dancefloor and equally enjoyable on the pod.
