Album Review
A scalding, monolithic collection of soul-baring lyrics and primal guitars, Black Sheets of Rain is extremely powerful musically, but is also slightly monotonous. Nevertheless, the record features several inspired songs from Mould, including the catchy single "It's Too Late."

Killer Mould
This is a great record. Bob Mould puts together a great band and rips into it. 'One Good Reason' is an incredible tune - blistering guitars!
Mould's best solo album!
Stellar guitar tone!!! Great vocals. One of the best albums in the last 30 years!
Fill the Factory
In his autobiography, Mould said this album sounded like being trapped in an abandoned factory that was slowly filling with motor oil. (Words to that effect.) Pretty much. I don't know why I didn't discover him until he was interviewed on Sound Opinions: angry alt-rock from a gay man is right in my wheelhouse. This is a record about a relationship falling apart. It's stellar.
