The Perfect Marriage Of Lyric And Melody!!
I hardly ever write review on here, but I just had to for this release. This album is fantastic. The melodies here are simply beautiful, and that is the thing that is missing from today's music. The lyrics are phenominal, and the combination of the great playing and lyrical marriage to the melodies is poetic and breathtaking. All the songs are great, but track 3 (Black Swan Song) absolutely slayed me. This one will bring tears if you are a human being. One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life, and it really spoke to my heart. Please support these guys so they can keep making music. Great stuff is out there you guys, and you never know where it may be hiding. I encourage all of you to EXPLORE!!
Athlete does it again
Another fantastic offering for Athlete. This band puts out nothing but amazing music. This album is no exception, and may, in some instances, raise even the bar that they have set in the past. Buy the album, sit back and enjoy. If you haven't heard of Athlete, give their previous albums a go as well. You won't be disappointed.
Best Athlete Album
Solid album, from the energetic "Superhuman Touch" through the pensive "Rubik's Cube", this is the best Athlete album yet. Great lyrics and you can get lost in each song...love it.
Luckily, I've been listening to this album since last September and everyone I've told about it enjoys these tunes, regardless of familiarity with Athlete.
