World? It's Pagan!

S.J. Tucker's work is generally labelled as Folk, though this is her one truly religious album. Her religion (she's Pagan) pops up in others, but in this one it's with you beginning to end. (Thus the title.) "Firebird" is the only real exception, though it fits beautifully. It's actually from another album, "Solace & Sorrow : Songs and Readings in Celebration of "The Orphan's Tales In the Cities of Coin and Spice" by Catherynne M. Valente" which is essentially a soundtrack for that excellent book. (There's one for the first book as well called "The Girl in the Garden". "Hymn to Herne" is the perfect follow-up to the pounding beats of "Firebird's Child" and is sure to set your heart racing if "Firebird's Child" failed to do so. "April Fool's Day" is light and fun and is sure to make anyone smile. It gives outsiders a little glimpse of what we Pagans are really like. It's not all Goth and darkness. Occasionally it's a pie in the face! ;-) iTunes would do well to actually classify their Pagan albums as such instead of putting them in World. Their sales would increase if it were easier for us to find what we're looking for.

Fantasic

I have just recently heard of Sooj through a friend, and instantly fell in love with her music, its a must have for any pagan.

Absolutely Amazing

Witch's Rune is probably the single most soulful song I've ever heard. Thank you so much for sharing your art.
