Album Review

Like its predecessor, The Grand Grimoire, Bloody Blasphemy is nothing groundbreaking, but it's so solidly written and performed that it doesn't really matter. God Dethroned write honest-to-God (or Satan, as the case may be) guitar riffs, some nearly as good as chief influence Slayer, which is all too rare in the fast-noisy-blur world of death and black metal musicianship. It's another well-crafted effort from a skilled crew.

Rules

Songs 1, 3, and 6 are the ones that stand out, this is very fast and a very strong album. Touches of boath black and death metal make this a very interesting listen, another album definatly worth owning.

Melodic death/black metal

God Dethroned is one of those bands that have their own style. The sound is pleasing to the ear because they have a mix of harsh blasts to slower mood sounds. One of the best songs on the cd is called "Soul Capture 1562" which I call the bands masterpiece song. Fans of this cd might want to get "The Grand Grimuire" as well. This bands recent efforts fall a little flat compared to these two.

Best out there!

This is some of the best death metal out there. Freaking dope guitars smashing drums totaly the best. Favorite on here is "The Execution Protocol" this album is great you must get it.

Titled The Christhunt, it did little commercially, and God Dethroned went on hiatus the following year, with Sattler forming a new group called Ministry of Terror. Following that band's 1994 album Fall of Life and a supporting European...
