Northwest hip-hop at its finest

The Blue Scholars are arguably the freshest group in hip-hop right now. They are distinctly northwest, a welcome reprieve from all the rap you hear on the radio. Sabzi's beats are distinct, melodic and jazzy, while Geologic's rhymes are clever and have a message. If you want meaningful, uplifting hip-hop, TRUE hip-hop and not the crap rap on the radio, check out the Blue Scholars. Hip-hip as it should be. These guys are dope and hard-working. Support these northwest legends.

Bayani

Just to let you all know Bayani, Blue Scholars third release will be out in June. I was at the release party and the new album is incredible. iTunes, get it up here as soon as possible. Blue Scholars deserves every bit of the spotlight that they get, and hopefully will someday get more public attention. iTunes is also missing The Long March EP which has some of the best Blue Scholars songs on it, like Cornerstone. Just letting you guys all know that if you like this, you will love the EP. On this album, listen to Burnt Offering, Evening Chai, The Inkwell, and The Ave.

What real hip hop should be...

The beats are so good they could almost stand by themseves main point: Buy this album, right now I personally can see why they havent gone global...

The two first...
