this is why i love the perrys they are such amazing singers and amazing christian people and they have done it again what an amazing album.
Blue Skies
My Mother had transferred from the hospital to a nursing home under Hospice care. I was on my way home and I was in anguish attempting to make some sense of it all. She wanted to live to be 84, and here she was 6 weeks short of her "goal." She lived a Godly life. Not always did she make the best choices, but she did the best she knew how in raising her children and facing the storms of life. I turned on the radio and hit the search button. Suddenly, from a station I did not normally listen to, the notes and lyrics of this song poured out. I was transformed from a time of anguish into a time of rejoicing! Although, nothing had changed, I WAS losing my Mother, God carried me from a place of anguish into a place of promise. I could rejoice in the fact that I KNEW where she would be and that she would be running through the gates of heaven to be with those she loved in another land. I searched the local stores for the album and none had it. My Mom passed away the following day. No store could have the album in stock before her funeral. I went to I-Tunes........ and there it was! I bought the song and it was played at her funeral. She would have loved it! Every time I hear this song it brings back bitter-sweet memories. But thank God, I was able to have it for her because of I-Tunes. You have my thanks. Listen to the album and especially, track 4, "Celebrate ME Home!" You will be happy that you did.
