You HAVE to hear these guys in concert!
I saw Manic Drive in concert without knowing a thing about them. They were touring with Pillar, and they absolutely blew me away. I am a working musician who is extremely picky about the style of music I listen to. I get bored with the typical "pop-ish" stuff that's out today. These guys may be made to sound like that on their album, but they are in no way a pop band. They cannot be compared to the Backstreet Boys or any "boy" band. In concert, they have a punk-style rock that I haven't heard in the Christian scene before. Their musicality is amazing, their presence is unique and I love their music. Most bands release an indie record and then re-release most of the same songs remastered on a new CD when they get a label behind them. I don't mind the repeated songs, especially since they're remastered. Before you judge them, you need to see them in concert. And then, if you still don't like them. . .I can't help you there!
Really, REALLY GOOD !!!
Manic Drive is one of those terribly underrated bands who is the victim of a far from perfect music industry system. Their music is much greater quality than most bands whose music is mass produced. This is a great album to buy for those who aren't as familiar with the band, it contains mostly some of their older material, which is GREAT material mind you. They have a quality rock sound("Blue","Eleven Regrets"), great vocal - (different and refreshing) and instrumantals, the lyrical content is creative and very moving ("Hope"). If you appreciate good music (and some cool fun music too) you'll LOVE 'em. Manic Drive is great!! They also have 4 new songs: Music, Walls, Closer and Rain. GREAT songs.

M.D. is great both behind soundproof walls and live, you seriously cannot get enough of this band from just one perspective. Each song worth every penny!!!
