McFerrin's debut, which shocked, rocked, and amazed everyone.

Fair at best.
McFerrin has some good & some not so good on this album. I found only a couple of tracks I could really get into, its just too much of a mixed bag. If you love All Feets Can Dance & Chicken, you'll probably love his best album (in my humble opion) Spontaneous Inventions.
A Taste of things to come
I originally had this on cassette! At first listen, especially now when his amazing vocal virtuosity is much more fully realized, this collection may fail to grab you. However if one give this album a chance, perhaps by listening to this on a long drive or as background music while working around the house, it will grow on you and worm its way completely into your heart and mind. If you aren't willing to do that - at the very least download "You've Really Got a Hold on ME" - which is a delightfully laid-back duet with Phoebe Snow.
Good album, but grate "Moondance"
Terriffic version of Moondance - buy this track if nothing else.
