Not as good as the others
I've been a fan of the Boca collections for a while, and I find the voices present in the various collegiate choirs absolutely breathtaking. However, compared with the last collections, this one seems to be lacking the standard pop tunes. I enjoy hearing some familiar songs in a new rendition, but except for Telephone and Fireflies, there weren't any.
BUT, the vocals are much more the focus on this one versus the relatability that is on the others. This is an outstanding collection of phenomenal choirs.
Not up to the usual level :(
I am a huge fan of BOCA and have all the albums in this series. I have to say I was in general disappointed in the song choice and quality overall of the singing.
dissapointed
I noticed that 5, yes 5, of the songs on this album were featured on 'voices only 2010' (last years album). I was shocked and appalled that BOCA would simply fill space on their CD with songs that have debuted on another album! I do not believe that there were not 5 songs 'unworthy' of making the album. I am disappointed in BOCA and will not be buying from them in the future without serious research. "voices only" does a much better job.
