Treasure from the UK
I've been a fan of Mica since her first release in the US "So Good" which was then dropped by her record label for some unexplained reasons. It's a shame that she didn't get any notoriety here in the states as she's an incredible singer. This new album is a complete suprise considering that she's been missing from the music scene for the last 10 years. It's an incredible return and the album showcases Mica's vocal range and strength. Her ability to push emotion into the songs is magical. Personal favorite tracks are "Baby Come Back Now", "You're the Only One", "Born Again", "Breathless", "The Hardest Thing" and "Tonight". Her live jazz rendition of Summertime is in my opininion the best version I've ever heard hands down. If you enjoy Soul R&B/Pop this is a definite add to your collection. You won't be disappointed! If you like her work here you can check out her back catalogue! She's had a very diverse and unique sound and she's only grown more refined and brilliant with each new album. Here's hoping she doesn't take another long hiatus before her next release. Good quality music like this is hard to come by these days!
The Whisper a Pray album
How can you all have any album from her without having this one? At the very least you all could have had the song I Wanna Hold On To You. Please get with the times and get the best songs from a singer.
A voice to treasure and embrace!!!
Mica Paris has a very soulful, passionate,deep and honey-like voice. I've been a fan for many years. Her voice alone can overcome even the most trite lyrics. If you like vocals this lady delivers even in the most subtle nuances. Each time I listen to her recordings I hear some interesting vocal lick. I just wish that i-tunes or whoever will make her earlier works available. I owned "Contribution UK Edition" on cassette and cd until I wore them out. Please, somebody make these available.
