One of the best reggae albums ever
I recently saw SOJA on tour with Zion I and Rebelution and I had no clue of who they were. Their live show completely blew me away and I immediately bought this album upon returning home. To put it simply, SOJA's "Born in Babylon" is one of those albums that gradually starts to cut right to the deepest part of your soul the more you listen to it. This is one of the most relatable albums I've ever listened to. Frontman Jacob Hemphill writes and sings with such compassion and true emotion and the rest of the band behind him is as tight as can be.
If you even are remotely interested in this band, reggae music, or just music in general, please buy this album. These guys embody true artistry and if you open yourself up and let this album in, it will move you and it will change you. I can't say that about many records or artists, especially these days, but SOJA's "Born in Babylon" is just one of those very special albums that only comes along every once in a while. I'm truly thankful for this album.

Classic but new direction for SOJA!
This album shows the best of SOJA....music that defies categories and appeals to all. Musicianship is stellar, production is top notch without being too smooth, and the songwriting is great and matured. Check out Summer Breeze and Thunderstorms, which is a very cool song showing SOJA's appreciation of multiple musical styles. Support these guys as they are great people and great musicians!
