Who would have thought troubled, tabloid star Lindsay Lohan could demand attention with her music (yes, I said it, music!)? “Bossy,” the first official single from LiLo’s forthcoming album, has the potential to be a chart topping phenomenon. The synth-heavy dance track was constructed by well-known producer Strargate, who has worked with artists like Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Beyonce. And the addictive chorus and tantalizing hook were carefully crafted by Grammy award winning lyricist Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo and Stargate contemplated if they could “…make a song for Lindsay Lohan that people were gonna take seriously?” and at the end of the day, it is a no-brainer—yes, within a few listens, listeners and critics alike will not be able to deny the brilliance of the song. And at the end of the day, it does not matter if it is just Stargate and Ne-Yo’s brilliance that shines through, but that this is undeniable a good pop song whether Lindsay’s sings it or not.

A nice transition from Lindsay's previous pop-rock songs, into a more mature dance groove. This song fits her perfectly, its an in-your-face this-is-how-it-is type of song. It's sassy and fun.
