The search is over...
I'm always looking for some new music that rocks in all good ways. And I found Girl in a Coma... thanks to my girl. I am digging this album A LOT!!! This album is great. These latina's know how to make wonderful music.
My first favorite band in 25 years
Mesmerizing chord progressions, elegant arrangements, one-of-a-kind vocals, and artfully interwoven musical influences. I listen to it over and over and over and over (ok, time for the restraining order). These women wring every last bit of musical energy out of each song - they stretch and squeeze until the song can't go one second longer (this is a good thing). Unfortunately, the short attention span of much of the commercial market might demand some editing of the longer songs. I hope Joan Jett really grows this group, because they certainly deserve it. The only song I'm not thrilled with is Simple Man - way too long at 6.5 minutes. Even Race Car Driver has grown on me. If you like original, high quality, super edgy alternative rock, this is the best product in town.

An original cohesive band from San Antonio, Texas with passion and free spirit. The 30 sec. sample you get is a tease...buy the entire CD to experience each song as it progresses from start to finish...a roller coaster ride of emotion, the cd makes you jump up and dance...bang your head...think...act... if you can get the video(s) shot locally in San Antonio, you'll see why this group is so fun to listen to and experience live during their forthcoming tour. CHARISMA and raw talent at it's finest...each member contributes at the highest level...these women have cut their teeth locally, and and the outcome is pure emotional sweat poured into this CD and live shows! Miss them on TOUR and you'll kick your self later!
